Eve opened the door slowly to the boardroom. Inside, she saw Tabitha sitting in one of the chairs with Baby Endora in her arms. “Why, Tabitha, I’m surprised to see you in here!” Eve exclaimed.

“Yes, well, I needed a quiet place to feed little Endora. It was much too noisy out there.”

“Is anything wrong? Is the baby all right?”

“Oh yes, dear. She just had a check-up, that’s all. Nothing abnormal.”

“Well, I am glad to hear it. She is such a sweet baby,” Eve said as she walked over toward the pair. She reached down and rubbed the baby’s cheek. Endora cooed back at her.

“Hmm…it seems Endora likes you,” Tabitha said. “That’s more than I can say for some of the other residents of Harmony, like that Rebecca Hotchkiss, or Crane, is it now?”

Eve cringed on hearing Rebecca’s name. “Well, it looks like Endora’s a good judge of character,” she noted. “Yes, you’re a good baby, aren’t you, sweetie?” she said, rubbing her finger under the baby’s chin. Eve then looked at Tabitha once more. “You haven’t seen Julian by any chance, have you, Tabitha?”

Tabitha shook her head, uneasy about what might happen next.

At the mention of her father’s name, Endora’s eyes lit up. The baby made the lights in the room flash on and off.

Eve looked around her, completely shocked about what was happening.

“Oh, it’s nothing, dear, probably just a bad fuse,” Tabitha reassured her.

Eve decided she needed to get out of that room fast.
